A Warm Welcome to the Shed
Hello, and welcome to the blog.
If you've found your way here, you've probably already been to the shed, or at least seen it on social media. For anyone who hasn't, The Baker's Shed is a micro-bakery run from a shed on my driveway at 321 Manchester Road in Northwich. Everything is baked at home, and it all runs on an honesty box. You pick what you fancy and pay by cash, bank transfer or the QR code. No counter, no queue.
It's been about six months now, and I still can't quite believe how many of you stop by. The honesty box has never let me down, which says everything about the people round here.
Why a blog?
A shelf of cakes can only say so much. This is where the rest goes:
- What's in the shed: new bakes, old favourites coming back, and the ones that keep selling out - Behind the bakes: how things are made, what's worked and what hasn't - Shed news: stock, delivery and anything else worth knowing - New videos: a heads-up whenever something goes up on the YouTube channel
What you'll usually find
It changes with what I've baked, but the regulars include lemon drizzle, old school cakes, freddo brownies, Reese's cookies, Biscoff flapjack and the Triple Chocolate Brownie Tubs. And the concrete brownies, for anyone who likes a bit of a challenge.
Thank you
Every sale, review and share makes a difference to a small business like this one. So thank you for reading, and for keeping the shed going.
See you at the shed.
